Industry Relations Executive

This role is where marketing strategy meets human judgment. AE Ventures produces the Builder Innovator Summits — the premier hosted-buyer events for senior executives at the nation’s leading homebuilding and multifamily companies. Our guests attend for free. They show up because the content is relevant, the connections are real, and someone reached out in a way that felt genuinely worth their time. That someone will be you. The Role We’re building a database-driven, hybrid inside marketing and selling function — and the Industry Relations Executive is the person who makes it work at the human level. You’ll design and deploy highly targeted outreach campaigns through our CRM, built around four content verticals that map directly to what builders care about most. You’ll watch how prospects engage with your communications — opens, clicks, responses, silence — and you’ll know exactly when to step in personally to move a conversation forward. This is not broadcast marketing. It’s not cold calling. It’s a discipline called verticalization and personalization: crafting messages that speak fluently to a builder’s specific world, then layering in genuine account-level knowledge as relationships develop. The framework already exists and has been proven. Your job is to run it, refine it, and get the right people into the room. What You’ll Do Design and execute multi-touch outreach campaigns via email and phone, built around our four Builder Innovator content verticals: Sales & Marketing Solutions, Finishes & Design, Structures & Systems, and TecHome. Use our CRM to segment prospect databases by relationship status, content interest, and engagement history — and deploy the right message to the right person at the right moment. Apply the verticalization-to-personalization discipline: verticalize for greenfield prospects to establish category credibility, layer in genuine personalization as relationships warm. Monitor prospect engagement in real time — who opened, who clicked, who went silent — and make smart, timely human interventions before momentum is lost. Handle inbound responses with confidence: answer questions, address concerns, and guide the right executives toward the right Builder Innovator experience. Conduct light phone outreach to warm prospects — not cold calling, but smart follow-up conversations with context. Feed intelligence back into the CRM: every conversation, every signal, every piece of account knowledge makes the next message sharper. Collaborate with the content and events teams to stay current on what Builder Innovator is producing and why it matters to specific builder audiences. What We’re Looking For Degree in marketing, communications, PR, journalism, or related field. 0–2 years of experience — recent grads with sharp instincts are strongly encouraged to apply. A marketer’s brain: you understand audience, message, timing, and channel. Strong writer — your emails need to feel earned and specific, not templated, even at scale. Enough poise and curiosity to hold a real conversation with a C‑suite executive. Detail‑oriented and proactive — you notice when engagement drops off and you know what to do about it. CRM fluency or genuine eagerness to develop it (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.). Hybrid: Mon–Wed in Boston office, Thu–Fri remote.
