Parts Person, AM, Industrial Maintenance - Deerfield | Publix Super Markets, Inc.

This position involves ordering parts/maintenance materials in emergencies or as needed, receiving items/parts into the parts room, releasing/issuing items/parts and tools from the parts room, maintaining the items/parts inventory in parts room, performing administrative tasks related to parts room inventory management, and other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or its equivalent, knowledge of the operations of a parts room, being at least 20 years old, ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time, a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle, ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds, successfully complete the following tests before starting the position, working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system, ability to read, write and solve math problems, ability to read and interpret schematics, and technical and parts manuals, ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions, ability to multi-task and work independently with little or no supervision, ability to handle confidential information, ability to work well with others and be a team member, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent attendance and punctuality, willingness and ability to advance, excellent verbal and written skills, strong problem-solving skills, self-motivated individual, safe work habits, obvious enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and a commitment to Publix and our mission.

Preferred qualifications include being a current Industrial Maintenance associate, an Associate's degree in Business, 3 years of prior experience in an industrial parts room environment or inventory related experience, knowledge of the operation of a parts room in an industrial setting, knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistical data analysis.

Hours of work are 09:00am - 05:30pm; Monday - Friday.

The work environment involves temperatures ranging from 20 below to 90 Fahrenheit for an extended period of time.

Frequency of pay is weekly. Minimum base pay is $19.85 and maximum base pay is $27.40. Potential annual base pay is $41,288 - $56,992.

The year end bonus rewards associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year. In the first year of continuous employment, the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay. In the second year of continuous employment, the bonus is equal to one week's pay if the associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
