A Post Closer/Wire Specialist maintains the workflow of post-closing and secondary marketing operations. This position handles all relationships with secondary investors and collaborates with them on a daily basis to ensure mortgage loans are purchased or sold in a timely manner. The Post Closer shall review final underwriting conditions after the closing of the loan and follow up as warranted. The Post Closer duties also include but are not limited to document review of closed loans for accuracy and in accordance with regulations, program guidelines, delivering documents and clearing deficiencies. The position entails utilizing various systems and obtaining information from internal and external customers. The Post Closer/Wire Specialist is responsible for validating wire instructions, preparing purchase advice, and processing funding transactions through Encompass and the Bank's internal wire system. Ensures the timely and accurate distribution of purchase advices and required loan documentation to servicing and operational teams while maintaining compliance with company policies and investor requirements.

Specific Job Functions:

• Ensures Correspondent closed loan files are complete and audits them to our standards
• Review Encompass system for closed loans for audit and issue conditions on missing items
• File review includes legal documents, credit and compliance documentation; all using the required checklist
• Follow up on missing items and process trailing final docs
• Work with correspondents to resolve deficiencies, in consultation with colleagues as necessary
• Provide updates and good customer service to all correspondents
• Assure every loan is compliant with all regulatory standards and GBC policies
• Wire Completion: Verify Wire Instructions, Complete Purchase Advices, Process Wire via Encompass/Internal Wire system
• Issue Purchase Advice's and delivers required information to servicing department
• Issue pipeline reports to all relevant parties; serves as back-up for daily reporting requirements
• Enter documentation into Encompass as necessary
• Support Correspondent Division for FHLB product; funding and loan delivery (DPA)
• Assist team members as needed, during times of peak volume and staff absences.
• Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of three (3) years mortgage industry related experience strongly preferred
• Encompass experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with general mortgage terminology and documents; Understanding of TRID Guidelines and APR Fees
• Understanding of documentation required in the processing and closing of mortgage loans preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to independently plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work in an efficient manner
• Ability to work quickly and accurately. Attention to detail required
• Flexible attitude with ability to work under pressure

Skills & Capabilities:

• Excellent people skills, particularly with customers
• Word, Excel, and Outlook. Encompass experience preferred or similar LOS
• Ability to learn lending basics; including legal, credit and regulatory requirements
