Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Understand aseptic technique and apply the knowledge in assuring maintenance of a sterile field and in assisting in a procedure or prepping a patient for surgery.
• Demonstrate knowledge of which areas need to be prepped for the different kinds of procedure.
• Assess the patient prior to surgery and establish that the patient understands the procedure being done and that a "timeout" be done prior to any procedure with the rest of the perioperative team.
• Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
• Have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
• Current BLS Certification are required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• 1 year of RN Endoscopy clinical experience required.
