Clinical Laboratory Technician
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Technician in Mobile, Alabama for routine and complex clinical testing procedures. The role involves specimen evaluation, instrument operation, quality control, and result reporting in a Monday-Friday schedule with rotating weekends (3:00 PM-11:30 PM).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures following Standard Operating Procedures
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Conduct preventative maintenance, quality control, and document procedures
- Report accurate and timely test results and manage bench supplies
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Three months or more clinical laboratory testing experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Physical capability to meet position requirements
