Lead Maintenance TechnicianThis position is a working lead role responsible for overseeing and supporting maintenance staff on the 2nd shift. The Lead Maintenance Technician ensures safe and efficient production through hands-on troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, blueprint and BOM interpretation, and support of sub-assembly and machine build activities. The role serves as the primary technical resource for the 2nd shift and partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure workflow continuity, equipment performance, and quality standards are met.Duties:Serve as the working lead for 2nd shift maintenance staff, providing daily direction, task prioritization, and hands-on support.Ensure smooth workflow throughout the shift by adjusting assignments to meet production schedules and quality objectives.Communicate shift handoff details to 1st shift leadership and maintenance teams to ensure continuity of work.Coach and support new or less experienced employees on processes, troubleshooting techniques, and proper equipment operation.Collaborate with the safety committee to ensure ongoing compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and standards.Identify, troubleshoot, and recommend solutions for quality and equipment-related issues.Work closely with the Quality Technician to support in-process inspections, verify machines meet required specifications, and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.Support root-cause analysis efforts related to quality deviations or equipment failures.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and process efficiency.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.Communicate deviations, rework requirements, and quality concerns to the Assembly Supervisor and Quality Control.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Associate degree in a related field required; Industrial Technician Certificate or equivalent required. Associate of Applied Science or comparable degree preferred.Minimum of 4 to 6 years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.Experience working in a union manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).Proven ability to lead a team or function as a subject-matter expert on a production shift.Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with quality, engineering, and production teams.Computer proficiency, including maintenance systems, email, and documentation tools.Disclaimer: Please note that we are unable to provide job sponsorships, including, but not limited to, visas, corp-to-corp arrangements (C2C), or any other form of sponsorship for employment.
