Bartender

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for providing high-quality beverage service in a corporate dining or catered event environment. This role includes preparing and serving beer, wine, and a variety of mixed drinks while delivering a professional, guest-focused hospitality experience.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve beer, wine, and a full range of standard mixed drinks and cocktails

Follow standardized drink recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines

Provide friendly, efficient, and professional guest service in a corporate or event setting

Set up, stock, and break down bar stations before and after service

Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all bar areas and equipment

Verify IDs and follow all responsible alcohol service policies and regulations

Restock liquor, mixers, beer, wine, glassware, ice, and bar supplies as needed

Support catering and event teams to ensure smooth service flow

Process transactions or operate POS systems when required

Follow Eurest/Compass Group food safety, alcohol compliance, and service standards

Qualifications

Prior bartending experience (corporate catering, banquet, hotel, or restaurant preferred)

Ability to prepare standard cocktails and mixed drinks confidently and accurately

Knowledge of beer and wine service fundamentals

Alcohol service certification (TIPS or equivalent) preferred or required by site

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments

***General Requirements***

Bartending

When working in Bartending Position through Bluecrew, you may be expected to do any and all of the following:

• Working independently or in a team to mix, prepare, serve, or transport alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Engaging with customers while operating a point of sale machine or cash register in a professional and courteous manner
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, or other items at the start or end of your shift
• Work on your feet, either stationary or constantly moving for the full shift
• Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities at times, as required by the immediate supervisor
• Comfortable working in a busy and at times hectic environment
• There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
• Note for that for any event staff position that requires handling food, you will need to follow GMP guidelines which include keeping your hair up, neatly trimmed fingernails, and you may be required to cover any facial hair.
