We are part of the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, serving nearly two million American Indians and Alaska Natives through a network of 45 state-of-the-art hospitals and more than 293 clinics throughout 35 states. job description: Responsible for the practice of medicine or direct services to patients that involves the performance of diagnostic, preventative, or therapeutic services in hospitals and clinics. Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat and prevent illness, disease, or injury. Order, perform, interpret tests, and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients conditions. Collect, record, and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports, and examination results. Monitor progress of patients conditions and re-evaluate treatment as necessary. Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients. Coordinate work with Nurses, Pharmacists, Social Workers, and other allied health professionals in the provision of a variety of health services. Qualifications Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. a candidate must have had at least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting, i.e., a 1-year internship or the first year of a residency program in a hospital or an institution accredited for such training. #J-18808-Ljbffr Bileddo Associates
