About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Business Operations with a focus on philanthropic financial operations. The successful candidate will serve as a senior executive advisor, providing strategic leadership in the structuring of complex gift agreements and philanthropic financial operations. This role requires a deep understanding of financial strategy, executive advisory responsibilities, and managerial oversight, particularly in the context of philanthropic and financial sustainability. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading the philanthropic revenue forecasting process, establishing long-term philanthropic goals, and ensuring that all philanthropic revenue is managed with integrity, transparency, and full regulatory compliance. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit finance, healthcare finance, or philanthropic financial administration. The role demands significant experience in advising senior executives, influencing decision-making, and leading multi-layered teams within a matrixed environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in modeling and structuring complex gift agreements, as well as in forecasting and developing long-range financial plans. Deep knowledge of CASE standards, IRS regulations for charitable giving, and governance practices related to charitable giving in a healthcare or academic environment is strongly desired. The Executive Director should exemplify strong integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, and possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to mentor staff, collaborate across departments, and inspire trust and confidence among colleagues and partners.
