About the Position

Job Title

Travel RN – Oncology (2 North | Days)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | 4 weekend days per scheduling period (Saturday and Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Oncology unit with patient ratios of 5–6:1
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments in accordance with unit protocols
• Utilize Meditech for all clinical documentation
• Participate in Bedside Shift Report, Hourly Safety Rounds, and maintain Whiteboards and Key Words in alignment with Patient Experience standards
• Collaborate with 2 PCTs per shift and a Unit Secretary during day shift to support patient care delivery
• Float to other units as needed per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Medical/Surgical background required
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech documentation system
• Ability to meet scheduling requirements including 4 weekend days per scheduling period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Oncology nursing experience
• Experience with chemotherapy administration
• Familiarity with iMobile communication platforms used for staff, physician, and patient communication
