$20.00 per hour POSITION SUMMARY The Facilities Assistant supports the Facilities Manager in maintaining the buildings, grounds, equipment, and physical assets of The Club at Prescott Lakes. This position performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, setup, cleaning, and preventive maintenance duties to help ensure Club facilities are safe, attractive, functional, and maintained to the standards expected of a premier private club. The Facilities Assistant works throughout the Club property and interacts regularly with members, guests, vendors, and fellow employees. The successful candidate will be dependable, service-oriented, safety-conscious, and willing to assist wherever needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day maintenance and repair of Club facilities and equipment. Perform general building maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, hardware, and fixture repairs within the employee's level of training and authorization. Conduct routine inspections of Club facilities and promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, equipment failures, or conditions requiring additional attention. Assist with preventive maintenance of building systems, equipment, doors, lighting, plumbing fixtures, furniture, and other Club assets. Respond to maintenance requests from Club departments in a timely, professional manner. Assist with room, furniture, equipment, and event setups and breakdowns as required. Maintain the appearance and functionality of the clubhouse, Athletic Center, administrative areas, recreational facilities, storage areas, and other Club property. Assist with maintenance of outdoor amenities and common areas, including patios, walkways, bocce, tennis, pickleball, pool-related areas, and other recreational facilities as assigned. Perform light cleaning and property-detail work associated with maintenance projects and ensure work areas are left clean and presentable. Assist with receiving, moving, assembling, installing, and storing furniture, equipment, supplies, and materials. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, carts, and other maintenance equipment. Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and storage spaces in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Assist outside contractors and vendors when directed by the Facilities Manager. Follow Club safety procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Assist other Club departments when necessary to support member events, special projects, emergencies, and overall Club operations. Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous assistance to members and guests encountered while performing duties. Protect Club property and use supplies, equipment, and resources responsibly. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Club management. Maintain work areas to a high standard of appearance. Respond positively and professionally when approached by a member or guest. Refer questions or concerns outside the position's responsibility to the appropriate manager. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, property maintenance, or a related field preferred. General working knowledge of basic maintenance and repair practices. Ability and willingness to learn new maintenance skills and procedures. Ability to safely use common hand and power tools. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete assignments independently. Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact professionally with employees, members, guests, contractors, and vendors. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record may be required based upon assigned duties. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical requirements described below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must be able to: Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, and climb. Regularly use hands and arms to operate tools and equipment. Safely climb and work from ladders as required. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with appropriate assistance or equipment. Work both indoors and outdoors for extended periods. Work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. Perform physical work for extended periods during a scheduled shift. Safely perform duties around mechanical equipment and normal maintenance-related conditions. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed throughout Club facilities and property and may include indoor and outdoor environments, maintenance and storage areas, recreational facilities, food and beverage areas, and member-use spaces. The position may occasionally be exposed to noise, dust, cleaning products, chemicals, mechanical equipment, temperature variations, and other conditions normally associated with facilities maintenance. Appropriate personal protective equipment and established safety procedures must be used when required. SCHEDULE The Facilities Assistant's schedule will be based upon the operational needs of the Club. The position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional schedule changes to accommodate Club events, projects, emergencies, or maintenance requirements. COMPENSATION Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
