Compensation: $46.90 - $63.09 per hour

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering nursing care within the healthcare system, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards. This position emphasizes ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN is committed to ensuring safety in their practice and incorporates evidence-based principles, while also recognizing their own knowledge and experience levels. They are responsible for enhancing their own skills and those of the patient care team through effective communication and utilization of available resources. Additionally, the RN must report any identified safety concerns, such as hazardous conditions or medical errors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Report safety issues, including hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Supervise and guide the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Set and assess priorities through effective interventions aimed at measurable improvements.
• Utilize the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet individual patient needs.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma.
• 1-2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in computer applications.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey.
• Valid New Jersey State Driver’s License.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Clinical experience from an NLN accredited program.
• Eligibility for screening certification.
• National certification in specialty area.

Work Schedule

Night shift, 36 hours per week.
