COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) (IA Technical IAT II) (Government)

COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a COMSEC Responsible Officer to support the Intelligence Sector. The position is located at a government customer site in Aurora, CO, and requires office presence five days per week. No relocation is offered. Responsibilities Accountable for all COMSEC material issued to the subaccount; ensure compliance with guidance and policies. Coordinate and route all requests for transfer or disposition of COMSEC material through the program leads. Create and maintain a COMSEC file plan in accordance with retention instructions and an unclassified material delivery point. Ensure cryptographic equipment is keyed in accordance with the supporting key’s effective date, loading a new key upon supersession of the old key or upon inadvertent device zeroization. Handle, control, store, and destroy Top Secret keys using Two‑Person‑Integrity procedures. Ensure two COMSEC‑briefed individuals destroy COMSEC material as required. Establish a comprehensive, recurring training program for COMSEC users. Prepare a written emergency plan and train all briefed personnel on their duties and responsibilities within the plan. Process all transfer, destruction, and semi‑annual or change‑of‑CRO inventory paperwork promptly; return paperwork to the program office. Publish a list of people authorized to access the subaccount’s COMSEC material. Report known or suspected COMSEC incidents, including deviations from COMSEC constraints, to the program office immediately and ensure personnel are aware of reporting procedures. Request additional COMSEC material or relocation of existing material from the program office. Return excess material and all ancillary items (e.g., racks, cables, power supplies) to the COR within 15 business days after removal or identification as excess. Support detachment operations and maintenance personnel on new installs, circuit outages, and troubleshooting. The primary CRO signs all reports unless absent; the alternate CRO signs in their absence. Validate, via a requirements letter, the continuing need for all COMSEC material held locally and request disposition instructions for any material not required for ongoing operational needs. Required Clearance TS/SCI with polygraph. Required Qualifications At least 3 years in IA Technology or a related field. Minimum DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 certification (Level 3 acceptable). Required certifications, if not already held, must be obtained within six (6) months: Certified Network Defender (CND), COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CYSA+), COMPTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP). Proficiency with the Customer’s Assessment and Authorization tool to track and document RMF steps. Desired Qualifications Experience with customer briefings. Highly organized, problem‑solving, and self‑motivated. Compensation $98,100 – $187,275 yearly, depending on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
