Receptionist

Position: Receptionist Location: West Nashville (off Charlotte Pike) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Onsite) Pay Rate: $18.00/hour Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Position Overview Our Receptionists/Office Assistants are often the first point of contact for clients, making them essential members of our team. This role requires handling a high volume of inbound calls (100+ per day), demonstrating empathy, and ensuring each caller is connected with the appropriate team member. You will also assist with general administrative tasks to support smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities Answer and manage a high volume of inbound calls (100+ daily) Route calls accurately and efficiently to appropriate departments Provide excellent customer service with a professional and empathetic approach Respond to client inquiries and provide basic information as needed Perform general administrative and office support tasks Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume setting Customer-focused mindset with a high level of empathy and professionalism Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively Physical & Work Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing (up to 7 hours per day) Frequent use of hands for operating office equipment (computer, phone, etc.) Ability to communicate effectively via phone for extended periods Must be able to walk up and down stairs (no elevators in a 2-story building) Ability to maintain focus, multitask, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Regular, reliable attendance during standard working hours (40-hour workweek; additional hours may be required) Work environment noise level is moderate to loud Work Environment & Equipment Use of standard office equipment, including computer, multiple monitors, phone system, printer, scanner, and fax.
