Pack-Out Lead
Green Garden Products, a subsidiary of Central Garden & Pet, the number one supplier of top-quality flower seeds and non-GMO vegetable seeds for the gardening industry, is now seeking a Pack-Out Lead for the Norton, MA facility. This is a full-time position. Central Garden & Pet Company (NASDAQ: CENT) is a leading innovator, marketer and producer of quality branded products for the pet and lawn and garden supplies markets. The Pack-Out Lead will work with the Plant Manager to meet production schedules. This position pays a range of $18 to $19 per hour, based on experience.
Key DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train, Coach and Develop Pack-Out Team.
- Confirm that the production lines are supplied with Raw-Materials to meet production needs.
- Able to measure production and give feedback to the team.
- Available to fill in as needed for breaks, absences, assistance.
- Clean and maintain safe work area.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely.
- Other Duties as required.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Previous production/packing experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with all levels within the facility
- Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changes in workflow
- Strong team player
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, and clean.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Work is conducted in a warehouse environment with temperature changes depending on the season.
