Overview

Turner Staffing Group is hiring General Laborers to support a mining operation in Montpelier, VA. This is a hands-on production role with the opportunity to cross-train across multiple areas of plant operations, including wet crushing circuits, drying, magnetic separation, and analytical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Shovel belt spillage and maintain clean, safe work areas around processing equipment
• Learn to operate and support mining processing equipment, including a wet crushing circuit, dryer, and magnetic separator
• Assist with analytical equipment and testing processes as trained
• Perform general labor and material handling tasks throughout the plant
• Follow all site safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Assist with equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Willingness to be cross-trained across multiple areas of plant operations
• Mechanical aptitude or interest in learning mechanical/technical processes
• Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor and plant environment
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely around heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
