Scientist Cell Therapy (R&D)

AstraZeneca seeks a hands-on scientist to conduct in vivo research and develop drug discovery experiments for cell therapy programs. The role involves independent study design, animal model work, data interpretation, and technical mentorship within a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on in vivo studies with independent planning and design of experiments
• Develop and execute drug discovery experiments and analytical studies to identify novel drug targets
• Interpret experimental results using established scientific methodologies and communicate findings
• Modify research processes to improve alignment with experimental objectives
• Provide technical mentorship to team members on laboratory procedures and collaborate across project teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 3-4 years equivalent experience in cellular therapy, immunology, or immuno-oncology
• 2+ years pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience
• Extensive in vivo skills including animal handling, syngeneic murine, xenograft, and PDX tumor models
• Proficiency in tail vein dosing and tissue processing for PK/PD and efficacy studies
• Strong understanding of molecular and cellular biology with immunological assay experience
• Ability to independently develop, troubleshoot, and implement experiments with minimal supervision

Compensation: $92,252.00 - $138,378.00 base annual
