Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 3 Years of Experience Required License: Indiana RN License Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - 2 Years of Level I Trauma Experience Required - Must have experience in circulating and preferred in scrubbing - Must be well-rounded and current in most areas except cardiovascular and transplant Description: The position requires experience in a Level I Trauma environment. Candidates must be prepared to take on call shifts, with holidays required. Floating to different areas may be necessary to meet facility needs. The average daily census will range from 70 to 80 patients. As part of this role, you will need to handle a variety of cases across general surgery, plastic surgery, gynecology, ENT, trauma, neurology, and orthopedics. Candidates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in a range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to hysterectomies, orthopedic surgeries, and robotic surgeries. Additionally, all applicants must be able to work effectively with diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A commitment to ongoing education and staying current with practices in the operating room is essential. Flexibility regarding major holidays is required, with the expectation to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
