Unit Snapshot

This high-acuity telemetry unit specializes in the care of patients recovering from:

• Open-heart surgeries
• Cardiac catheterization with stent placement
• Ablations
• Pacemaker/AICD implantation
• Cardiovascular surgeries
• Stroke and STEMI events

You'll gain hands-on experience with complex cardiac patients while working in a collaborative environment that encourages problem-solving and continuous growth.

What Youll Be Doing

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital policies, state Nurse Practice Acts, and ANA Standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, respond to changes, and document accordingly
• Support patients and families through education and communication
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, compassion, and positive outcomes

What You'll Need

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Required

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active RN license in Missouri Required
• BLS certification Required at hire
• ACLS certification Required within 6 months

Skills & Experience:

• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking abilities
• Prior acute care or cardiac experience preferredbut motivated new grads are welcome!

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio

• Never more than 1:5
• Typically ranges from 1:3 to 1:5 , depending on acuity and staffing

Compensation & Incentives

• Hourly Rate: $30.04 $41.50 (based on experience)
• Shift Differentials:
  
  • Nights: +$4.00/hr
  • Weekends: +$4.00/hr
• Sign-On Bonus:
  
  • $30,000 for Night Shift (2-year commitment)
  • $12,000 for Day Shift
• Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
