MRI Technologist

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the MRI Team Leader and/or the radiologist(s), performs a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in utilization of MRI equipment to create high quality diagnostic images.

Education: Required: A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program, or equivalent program. Reference: (compliant with all continuing education mandates). ARRT (R) Certified, or ARMRIT. Preferred: N/A

Experience: Required: Medical and/or hospital clinical experience. Basic computer experience (1-2 years work experience or college level classes). Prior experience in MRI or an intensive on the job training session in MRI is required before taking call. Preferred: Prior hospital and/or physician office background

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: ARRT, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance (ARMRIT Certified), compliant with all continuing education mandates. BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and to be maintained going forward. Preferred: ARRT (MR) Certified or ARMRIT Certified CPR certified.
