Medical AssistantPosition: Medical AssistantJob Description:Schedule, confirm patient appointments, check-ups, and physician referralsAnswer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staffGreet visitors, assess purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staffCompile record medical charts, reports, and correspondence.Some experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferredCheck patients in and outCollect co-paysA problem-solving mentality for prioritizing tasks and addressing patient issues that may ariseExcellent customer service skills (receptionist experience highly preferred)Requirements:Must have at least 6 months of recent Medical Assistant experience; Front/Back office experienceMedical Assistant Diploma/Certificate only required if State requiredActive BLS/CPR CardStrong phlebotomy skillsMust be ok working in a smoke-free/tobacco-free environmentFlorida Background Screening Requirement: Certain Florida assignments require a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse before placement.
