Overview

Code Ninjas seeks enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Instructors. As a Summer Camp Instructor, you will guide and inspire young learners aged 5-14 through engaging coding activities and projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and education to impact the next generation of innovators.

Coding or technical Experience is NOT required. We will teach you the material.

Responsibilities:

• Lead instructional sessions using our established curriculum focused on coding fundamentals, game development, robotics, and more.
• Offer personalized assistance and guidance to students to help them overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals.
• Foster a collaborative learning environment where campers can exchange ideas, work together on projects, and support one another.
• Illustrate coding concepts and techniques through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for campers, adhering to all safety protocols and providing supervision during camp hours.
• Encourage campers to unleash their creativity by exploring different coding languages, experimenting with design elements, and problem-solving independently.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp materials and equipment as needed.
• Attend training sessions to familiarize yourself with the curriculum, teaching techniques, and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• A background in education, childcare or related field is preferred.
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and helping them discover the joy of coding and technology.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and understandably.
• Patience and empathy in working with learners of varying skill levels and learning styles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Dependable and punctual, committed to upholding high standards of professionalism.
• First Aid/CPR Certification: Preferred, but not mandatory.

Additional Information:

Position Type: Seasonal, Full-time/Part-time

• Training: PAID Training
• Background check & NDA required for all camp staff 18 years+
• Location: Code Ninjas Wildwood and Kirkwood locations
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience
• Availability required for Summer through August

Hours: Range between 20-40 hours a week.
