Pharmacy Technician

Work with a team of pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to evaluate infusion medication requests and facilitate the prior authorization process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and time management skills, be able to work in a team environment to provide safe and efficient care to patients through timely completion of the prior authorizations, follow-through on all assigned tasks, be accountable for assigned work metrics, and a commitment to optimizing medication access for patients. Previous experience with completion of prior authorizations preferred.

This position is onsite and is not eligible for remote flexibility.

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent

Work Experience: 0-6 months Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP) is required and must be maintained. Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)) certification:

• Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 1 year of 11/1/2023.
• New Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 6 months of hire.
• New team members who are enrolled or will enroll in a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and/or recognized by PTCB, have 30 days post program completion to obtain certification.
