Plant Operator

Position Summary The Plant Operator assists in producing livestock and/or aqua feed products while ensuring quality control, maintenance, and facility cleanliness. This role may involve operating equipment such as an extruder, grinder, mixer, or pellet machine, as well as working in the warehouse. Responsibilities also include packaging, filling, formulation support, and housekeeping. Sample of What You’ll Do Assist with set‑up of production lines, inspect materials, and blend according to scheduled jobs and specific instructions under general supervision. Operate processing equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist with quality control throughout production. Work with supervisor to accurately document all activities, including processing, maintenance, and cleaning tasks. Maintain facility cleanliness and follow all safety, food safety, FDA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines. Learn and perform multiple roles (mixing, bagging, forklift, loading) to support plant operations. Report safety or food safety concerns immediately. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements At least 2 years of relevant experience and be at least 18 years of age. Ability to operate material‑handling equipment, forklift, and other equipment. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Ability to follow written and verbal directions in English, including basic math skills and documentation. Willingness to work overtime hours as needed. High School Diploma or GED. What Makes You a Great Fit Safety‑mindset, consistently following safety protocols and procedures.
