Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - PACU

Schedule:
- Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM (some shifts may vary to 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
- Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week
- No weekends, no call, no holidays

Assignment Details:
- Unit: 28-bed PACU (Phase I PACU care)
- Patient population: Adolescents and adults; majority oncology
- Daily census: approximately 40-50 visits/day

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years PACU experience
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Experience with charting in Epic
- Clinical skills: Phase I PACU, dysrhythmia recognition/management

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia and provide post-operative care.
- Assess patient health status and report any concerning changes.
- Administer medications and assist with pain management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding recovery and discharge plans.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 40 hours
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
- Two professional references required; at least one must be a manager or director.
- RTO required with submission.
