Accounting Manager
LHH is partnered with a local non-profit organization to add an Accounting Manager to their team. This role is a good fit for somebody who is mission driven, likes to be hands-on in the accounting, an empathetic teacher who cares about developing staff, and somebody who brings a process-improvement mindset.
Role: Accounting Manager
Location: Portland, OR
Work mode: Hybrid (4 days on site/week)
Hours: Typical 40-45 hours/week
Compensation: $100-110K
Benefits:

- 15 days PTO (grows with tenure up to 30 days after 4 years) + holidays

What you'll do:
- Ownership of month-end close process
- Supervise and review work of A/P and payroll team
- Contribute to technology enhancements for accounting/finance systems and software
- Develop accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience, including full accounting cycle and month-end close experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP
- Nonprofit, government, education industry experience preferred
- Experience with large ERP systems preferred
- Flexible, adaptable, self-starter eager to bring forward ideas and solutions
