Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Acute Travel Registered Nurse with a specialty in Labor and Delivery to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to mothers during labor and delivery, as well as caring for newborns in the immediate post-delivery period.

Position Information

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: OB (Labor and Delivery)
Shift: Nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 48 per month
Floating Requirements: Yes, to Mother/Baby

Unit Profile

Department: Labor and Delivery
Number of Openings: 1
Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN guidelines
Facilities: 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, 3 triage beds
Patient Population: Adults

Qualifications

Required Certifications: Fetal monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP
Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience
Required Skills: Experience in OR circulation, mother/baby care, and triage (preferred but not required)
Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Labor
Personality Fit: Must possess flexibility and strong communication skills

Additional Information

Equipment Used: EHR systems including Centricity and Paragon
Supervisor: Melissa Wilson

Dress Code

Scrubs should be blue or blue/green in color. Any unacceptable attire should be avoided to maintain a professional appearance.
