We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join a healthcare team in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on a Contract basis. This position focuses on maintaining timely and accurate claim processing while supporting increased billing activity tied to expanding provider services. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, resolving claim-related issues, and using billing platforms to keep reimbursement workflows moving efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor unpaid insurance claims, take timely follow-up action, and submit corrected or additional documentation when needed to drive resolution.
• Manage a high volume of billing activity across multiple providers and locations while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
• Research claim denials, payment variances, and account discrepancies to identify root causes and apply appropriate corrections.
• Use NextGen and Phreesia to process billing tasks, review account activity, and maintain organized workflow tracking.
• Coordinate with internal teams and payers to clarify billing questions and remove obstacles affecting reimbursement.
• Review claim details for completeness and compliance before resubmission to reduce delays in payment.
• Maintain up-to-date account notes and billing records to support visibility, follow-through, and audit readiness.• Hands-on experience in medical billing within a healthcare or physician practice environment.
• Working knowledge of medical coding principles and insurance claim processing.
• Background in medical collections and follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable.
• Ability to investigate billing issues, interpret claim responses, and resolve discrepancies accurately.
• Experience using billing systems such as NextGen, Phreesia, and EPaces or similar healthcare platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills in a deadline-driven setting.
