Reporting to the Manager, Senior Counsel - Commercial, the Legal Counsel, Commercial will support 1Password on a broad range of commercial matters. In this role, you'll work closely with our Go-to-Market (GTM) team to negotiate and close customer agreements, and you'll support procurement, partnership and product teams across the business. The work is varied and high-profile: you'll negotiate with some of the largest companies in the world, help launch new products and AI features, and support sports marketing partnerships with world-class sports teams. We're looking for a practical, deal-focused commercial lawyer who enjoys negotiating and wants to help drive the growth of a leading SaaS company. How we’re using AI today On the Legal team, AI helps us move faster without sacrificing quality. We use it to draft and review commercial agreements, implement negotiation playbooks, and prepare the groundwork for legal review. AI also helps us stay on top of regulatory developments, synthesize research across jurisdictions, and identify risks in novel situations like new product launches or partnership structures. The result is a team that can operate at higher volume with greater consistency, while creating more time for the judgment calls, collaboration, and meaningful decisions that matter most. This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
