It's designed to help patients recover from serious illness, injury, or surgery—especially those transitioning from intensive care.Specialized Rehab Services: Offers intensive therapy for conditions like stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, neurological disorders, amputation, and other complex conditions.Therapy Intensity: Patients typically receive 15 hours of therapy per week, guided by a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and therapists.Modern Facility: Located on the first floor, the unit is equipped with advanced rehab equipment and designed to support recovery in a focused, patient-centered environment.As a PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion, and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.How you'll contribute:Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programsAssist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient recordsDocument patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirementsMaintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean conditionHandle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federalOther duties as assignedQualifications and requirements:Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degreeCurrent and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are renderedCPR certification (when required)Lifepoint Rehabilitation is located in Round Rock, TX, and is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier® with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast.
