Job Summary
A growing organization is hiring a Director of Accounting to lead a team responsible for month-end close, journal entries, and general ledger accuracy across a portfolio of business units. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced accounting professional who wants to own a process end-to-end and build out a team.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accountants handling journal entry preparation, review, and posting
• Own the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper support for all entries
• Perform and oversee balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Serve as the go-to resource for complex accounting questions and technical guidance
• Partner cross-functionally with business unit leaders on financial reporting needs
• Drive process improvement, standardization, and automation opportunities
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Set and manage team performance goals and provide ongoing coaching

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred, not required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years leading or managing an accounting team
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience in a shared services, multi-entity, or large-portfolio accounting environment a plus
