Direct Support Professional

Overview We are seeking to fill a variety of caregiver positions. Days, Evenings, Weekends, and Overnights. In addition to our immediate openings, we are continuously expanding our teams and client bases. We need a candidate to help with expansion of new clients that have arisen throughout different areas in Indiana. Right now, we have clients that are in immediate need of someone who can come and assist them with day-to-day. This is not just a job but the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. Responsibilities The caregiver/homemaker provides services to agency clients involving personal cares, transfer assist, cleaning & other housekeeping functions, errands, and companionship. To know and follow the clients' service plans which may include but is not limited to: Perform or assist clients with supportive, comfort measures Prepare meals, snacks and provide fluids Perform household services essential to remaining at home Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment Provide companionship to clients Shop & perform quick errands To ensure that all clients are treated fairly with kindness, dignity, and respect To respect clients' personal property rights, maintaining clients' rights to privacy and confidentiality To follow established safety precautions To assure that client's homes are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Must have reliable vehicle Valid driver s license Valid auto insurance Must be able to pass drug screen and background check Desired Qualifications: At least 2 years experience Some high school Personal Care, Light Housecleaning, Transportation, Errands/Shopping, Medical Transportation, Bathing/Dressing, Medication Management License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Experience: Home care: 1 year (Required) Caregiving: 1 year (Required) Patient care: 1 year (Preferred) ADLs: 1 year (Preferred) Benefits & Compensation Compensation: $13.00 to $15.00 per hour Salary: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits: Employee assistance program Flexible schedule Professional development assistance Referral program 401k after Introductory period Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Schedule: 8 hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday, On call, Weekend availability Experience: COVID-19 considerations: Policies to mitigate spread of coronavirus Location Work Location: Evansville #J-18808-Ljbffr Community Outreach Advocates Inc
