SEBS EOF Summer Session (Internal/External 5 Writing Instructors) Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) Educational Opportunity (EOF) is seeking non‑credit instructors to provide virtual and in‑person instruction to students in the SEBS EOF Summer START‑UP at Rutgers University. Dates: July 6 – July 10 (virtual) and July 13 – July 31 (in‑person). The instructor will teach an Introductory to Expository Writing course designed for first‑year writers. Minimum Salary: $3,312 (part‑time). Responsibilities Deliver virtual instruction during the first week (July 6‑10) via Zoom/Canvas. Provide in‑person instruction on Tuesdays and Thursdays (10:40‑12:30 p.m.) July 13‑31. Design and facilitate pre‑writing, drafting, and revising workshops. Hold office hours via email, phone, or virtual conference during the orientation week. Support students’ transition to the Fall semester. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 2 years teaching English, preferably in higher education. Ability to instruct varying skill levels in grammar, syntax, and advanced writing. Experience in curriculum development and innovative delivery methods. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills. Team‑orientation and ability to promote multidisciplinary instruction. Experience working with diverse student populations. Knowledge of Zoom/Canvas and ability to conduct virtual instruction. Preferred Qualifications High‑energy, positive attitude and leadership skills.
