Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer – BWX Technologies, Inc. – Barberton, OH Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for supplier interface to assure product quality. Responsibilities Work with Procurement to help maintain oversight on critical suppliers. Work with supplier to help identify risks and countermeasures. Perform supplier visits to assure product quality as needed. Work with suppliers on new programs and assure good communication channels exist. Work with suppliers on Corrective and Preventative actions. Work with other departments to resolve vendor quality issues. Reporting on supplier quality performance. Qualifications / Requirements 5-10 years' experience in similar professional environment. Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a technical major preferred. Solid math/statistical skills, and knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and print reading. Experience or knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and assembly preferred but not required. Experience or knowledge of inspection techniques including dimensional inspection, NDE methods such as ultrasound, magnetic particle inspection, liquid penetrant inspection and/or radiography preferred but not required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship. Pay: $81,000 - $123,000 The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $81,000 and $123,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. The total compensation package may include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits.
