Payroll Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll processing, manage audits and reconciliations, and ensure compliance with payroll laws. This role requires 7-10 years of payroll experience, 2+ years of supervisory experience, and excellent organizational skills. This direct hire role is in San Francisco, CA and the anticipated salary is between $140,000-$170,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of payroll operations

• Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and process controls

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll best practices

• Review and audit payroll transactions

• Supervise payroll team members and act as liaison with other departments for resolution of payroll issues


• Maintain accurate payroll records and reporting

• Develop and communicate policies and procedures to improve business and operational efficiencies


• Manage payroll processing workflows and complex scheduling/timekeeping functions

• Ensure accurate year-end payroll processing and tax fillings

• Lead payroll system implementations

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of payroll experience

• At least 2 years of supervisory experience

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

• Knowledge of payroll tax laws, regulations, and controls

• Ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality

• Strong ADP Workforce experience required

• Strong Excel skills

• CPP certification preferred
