Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapy

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend rotation or on-call responsibilities
• Facility is closed on holidays
• Treat oncology patients with 95% outpatient and some inpatient/emergency appointments
• Average patient volume of 55 outpatient patients per week with 10 consults and 15 follow-ups per week
• 1:1 therapist-to-patient ratio with 20 patients per machine per day
• Perform radiation therapy treatment using TrueBeam technology
• Room and set up patients in the treatment room
• Chart using EPIC, Mosaic, Alaris, and Pyxis systems
• No floating to other units
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS, and IEMA (Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety)
• Any color scrubs permitted
• No artificial fingernails or extenders allowed during direct patient contact; natural nail tips must be kept less than 1/4 inch long
• Free parking available in designated areas

This facility is a 749-bed Level 1 Trauma Center with Magnet Designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center status. The radiation therapy department operates 3 treatment rooms and is supported by a team of 12 therapists, 4 registered nurses, and 2-3 physicians. The department fosters a fast-paced, flexible, and team-oriented culture dedicated to delivering high-quality oncology care.
