Position Summary

Our client is seeking an IT Applications Administrator to join their IT Applications team, supporting the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications and business systems. This role serves as a primary point of contact for application support requests and user provisioning, helping ensure employees have reliable, secure access to the tools and services they need to do their jobs.

This is a foundational role for someone building a career in enterprise application administration. The ideal candidate is process-oriented and customer-service minded — comfortable following established procedures and escalating complex issues appropriately, while developing broader expertise in application support, identity management, and IT service operations over time. This person will work closely with application owners, senior administrators, business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams to resolve issues and fulfill service requests.

This is an onsite role based in Broomfield, CO.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a go-to contact for employees who need help accessing or using business applications, fielding requests through the team's help desk queue and keeping them moving to resolution
• Diagnose everyday application hiccups and access problems, looping in a senior admin, vendor, or another IT team when something needs deeper expertise
• Set up, adjust, and turn off user access — logins, permissions, and group membership — across the company's core business systems, following the established approval process
• Make sure new hires, departing employees, and people changing roles get the right access at the right time
• Keep an eye on whether key applications are up and working, and jump on anything that starts affecting employees or the business
• Handle recurring upkeep tasks on the applications you support, using the team's existing playbooks
• Help verify that application changes and updates actually work as intended before and after they go live
• Write up how issues were solved and keep the team's how-to guides and knowledge base current so problems don't have to be solved twice
• Keep the people who submitted a request in the loop — what's happening, what's next, and when it'll be done
• Work directly with the business teams who own each application to track down information and get issues closed out
• Be the point of contact when a software vendor or outside partner needs to get involved in fixing something
• Pitch in on upgrades, rollouts, and patching work led by more senior members of the team
• Help test that new features or system changes work correctly from a user's perspective before they're released broadly
• Keep track of which applications the company uses, who's licensed for what, and how systems are configured

Minimum Experience

• A couple of years supporting business software, cloud-based tools, or IT help desk operations — a degree in a technical field is a plus but hands-on experience matters more
• Comfortable working inside a ticket queue and keeping requests organized and moving
• Some exposure to how user accounts and system access get set up, changed, and shut off
• A knack for figuring out why something isn't working — whether that's an app, a login, or a permission issue
• Clear, patient communicator who genuinely enjoys helping people solve tech problems
• Comfortable following a playbook, but not afraid to juggle several things at once when it gets busy
• Open to learning the ropes of enterprise IT — this is a great launching pad for someone early in an application support or systems administration career
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Additional Plus

• Hands-on time with common workplace platforms — think project or ticketing tools, CRM, ERP, HR systems, or file-sharing platforms
• Some familiarity with how companies manage logins centrally (directory services, single sign-on) and what identity management looks like day to day
• A basic sense of how access levels and permissions should be structured so people get exactly what they need — no more, no less
• Exposure to a structured approach to IT support (ITIL-style ticketing and incident handling)
• A habit of writing things down — documentation, SOPs, or a knowledge base you've helped build
• Some visibility into how software rollouts and system changes get planned and rolled out safely
• Basic comfort in both Windows and Linux environments

Salary / Wage Range

$35-55/hour

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown.
