Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

CRNA (Independent Contractor) Suncoast Surgery Center is looking for a CRNA, as an Independent Contractor, to join our Frantz EyeCare team. Part‑time or PRN. No call. No nights or weekends. Full‑time/part‑time independent contractor. Location: Fort Myers, FL Job Summary To administer and monitor general anesthesia during a variety of procedures in a safe and professional manner. Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree in Anesthesia or Nursing; current licensure, certification, and ACLS required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review the cases scheduled and assigned for the day, determine the type of anesthesia prescribed for each; assemble supplies and equipment needed and explain the procedure to each patient to secure cooperation and gain confidence. Assist in transporting patients to the operating room and recovery room as needed; maintain records for each anesthetic administered. Check chart for correct scheduled procedure, correct surgeon, drug allergies, pre‑anesthetic evaluation, lab data (if applicable) and other reports, medical work‑up and consultations indicated. Maintain close communication with the MD and circulating nurse, as needed. Respect the confidentiality of patient, center and physician related information; maintain confidentiality of patient records and use complete discretion when discussing patient information.
