Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to operate manual mills, drills, and lathes to produce high-precision parts. The ideal candidate has basic machine operation experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow blueprints, work instructions, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Operate manual mills, drills, lathes, and other shop equipment.
• Load raw materials, start and shut down equipment, and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other standard measuring tools.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, and production instructions to ensure accuracy.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, lubrication, housekeeping, and material handling.
• Complete production documentation and report equipment, tooling, or quality issues to supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements:

• Previous machine operation experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with manual machinery.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to convert English and metric measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm  

Compensation:

• $18.00 per hour
