As responsible corporate citizens, we integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into our business practices ensuring that we positively impact the healthcare companies we serve, our employees, and the communities we reach.Job DutiesWork only under the direct immediate personal supervision of a pharmacistCurry containers of drugs in and around the pharmacyCount pills, tablets, and capsules and put them in containersType and/or print labelMaintain records as they relate to the Pharmacy practiceEnter prescriptions, drug orders, and patient information in a patient profileRing up customers/patients at the Pharmacy register for pickup of their prescriptionsReceive prescriptions from patients at the pick-up windowClean the Pharmacy and Front End departmentsAnswer calls and forward to Pharmacist on duty when necessaryOther duties as assignedProhibited ActionsAccept or transcribe an oral order or telephone prescriptionEnter or be in the pharmacy when the Pharmacist is not on dutyPerform any act in the practices of Pharmacy that involves discretion of independent professional judgementPerform a duty until the Technician has been trained and the duty has been specified in written protocolMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMedical Assistance Certification (preferred)Medical TerminologyAdditional Skills/Competencies6 months experience in medical office environmentCertification for CPR, First Aid, EKG, and/or PhlebotomyBasic understanding of medical procedures and terminologyTact and skill in patient managementExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workersPhysical/Mental RequirementsSitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder lengthWorking with body bent over at waistWorking in kneeling positionClimbing stairs, climbing laddersWorking with arms extended at shoulder lengthLifting maximum of 50 lbs.Why Work for Excelsia Injury CareWe offer a competitive salary, a great and stable work environment, as well as an amazing benefit package!
