Here, you'll be more than just a technician — you'll be a source of comfort for patients navigating their most vulnerable moments. Every image you produce is a piece of a larger puzzle that shapes the care they receive, reflecting just how important your role is in the continuum of healthcare.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Employ advanced radiographic and CT techniques to produce high-quality, diagnostic images that assist physicians in patient care.
- Partner with radiologists and healthcare teams to facilitate accurate and timely diagnoses.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety while precisely positioning them and calibrating imaging equipment.
- Uphold rigorous safety protocols to protect both patients and colleagues from radiation exposure.
- Keep comprehensive records for imaging and equipment maintenance, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
- Deliver patient-centered care that nurtures trust and reduces anxiety throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient imaging environment that prioritizes patient welfare.
Education Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology is mandatory; a Bachelor's Degree is a beneficial asset.
- Completion of an accredited radiology program is essential.
Required Certifications
- Current ARRT certification in CT and/or Radiography is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary or you must be willing to secure it within 90 days after hiring.
Essential Skills for Success
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging protocols along with safety practices.
- Exceptional communication skills for meaningful interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, adapting to changing needs with ease.
- Attention to detail and strong accountability for work output.
- Proficient in the use of PACS, RIS, and contemporary imaging technologies.
What Awaits You
- A comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Generous PTO and scheduling flexibility to support a balanced life.
- Opportunities for ongoing education and training right on site.
- Pathways to advance your career in imaging, including cross-training opportunities in diverse modalities.
- A supportive and inclusive workplace culture centered around teamwork and personal growth.
- 100% on-site presence in a collaborative clinical environment.
In this role, capturing an image transcends just the technical aspect; it's about contributing to the health and well-being of real people. From the child facing a confusing diagnosis to the elderly patient preparing for a screening, your presence can have a profound effect. You become an integral part of their story, offering support without always needing to say a word.
Your experience will be complemented by a talented and collaborative imaging team. Together, you'll foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and shared purpose, united by the goal of delivering exceptional care. The CT suite thrives on teamwork, where expertise is woven together to create optimal outcomes, ensuring you never feel isolated in your responsibilities.
