Senior PeopleSoft Functional Analyst – Commitment Control (FSCM)

Location: Remote

Type: 1-Year Contract (Strong likelihood of extension)

Compensation: $70/hr

Schedule: Full-Time, Central Time Business Hours

We're looking for a PeopleSoft Financials professional with deep Commitment Control experience to support a large enterprise ERP environment.

This role focuses on the budget side of PeopleSoft FSCM and will serve as a key resource for Commitment Control operations, budget checking, encumbrance accounting, and integration with Purchasing, General Ledger, and Accounts Payable. The right person will be comfortable working through complex budget issues, troubleshooting exceptions, and helping ensure financial controls continue to operate smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

• Serve as the primary functional resource for PeopleSoft Commitment Control (KK)
• Configure and maintain budget definitions, ledger groups, control budgets, and budget-checking rules
• Troubleshoot budget-checking errors, budget exceptions, and encumbrance issues
• Support fiscal year-end processing, budget close activities, and carry-forward processes
• Partner with General Ledger, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable teams on cross-functional issues
• Assist with system testing related to upgrades, patches, and enhancements
• Document processes, configuration changes, and issue resolutions
• Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to business and support teams

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) experience
• Strong Commitment Control (KK) experience
• Deep understanding of:
  • Budget Definitions
  • Ledger Groups
  • Control Budgets
  • Budget Checking
  • Encumbrance Accounting
  • Budget Exception Handling
• Experience supporting integrations between:
  • Commitment Control
  • General Ledger
  • Purchasing
  • Accounts Payable
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Public sector PeopleSoft experience
• Budget office or governmental accounting experience
• PeopleSoft upgrade or patch testing experience
• Large enterprise ERP support experience
• Experience documenting functional requirements and business processes
