Description Main Responsibilities Carry out galley maintenance and preparation under the direction of the Chief Steward Assist with the planning and prepping of daily meals May be responsible for up to two meals as assigned by Chief Steward Ensure galley and common areas are welcoming, safe and well maintained Follow sanitation standards and hygiene procedures in line with company policy and maritime health regulations Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper handling of equipment and supplies Participate in safety drills and adhere to onboard safety protocols Assist with maintaining inventory records and ensure equipment is in good working order Requirements USCG Merchant Mariner Credential STCW Certification including Basic Training, Security Awareness Serve Safe Food Handler Certification US Passport with at least one year remaining before expiration 2 – 3 years’ experience in hospitality, cruise, hotel or maritime service preferred Food and beverage knowledge; familiarity with galley operations Strong ability to organize and communicate with others Stabbert Maritime/Stabbert Offshore is a family-owned and operated maritime company.
