Senior Enterprise Product Manager

C.H Robinson is seeking a Senior Enterprise Product Manager on our Global Forwarding team, which is expanding its investment across automation, pricing, shipment execution, carrier capabilities, and new strategic growth opportunities. In this role, you will partner with business and technology teams to understand customer and operational problems, establish priorities, shape roadmaps, and drive delivery across high-value Global Forwarding capabilities. You will drive improvements to internal and external user experience, productivity, and levels of risk. Your decisions will be shaped by curiosity and rigorous analysis and research – both qualitative and quantitative. As Senior Product Managers at CH Robinson are expected to consider analytical insights, direct customer feedback, technical implications, and our overarching business strategy to form and execute on the plan for your product. You will be the voice of the user/stakeholder for their products, setting problem solving priorities, derisking development, and validating impact with targeted users/stakeholders.

This role can be based only in MN, IL or Kansas City

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and evolve product strategy and roadmaps that support Global Forwarding growth, automation, operational scalability, and customer experience
• Identify opportunities to modernize complex forwarding workflows across areas such as pricing, carrier contracts, shipment planning, booking, visibility, documents, and operational execution
• Partner with engineering, architecture, data science, operations, business, and other enterprise stakeholders to deliver complete solutions that solve meaningful customer and employee problems
• Identify opportunities to apply AI, generative AI, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, and decision-support capabilities to reduce manual work, improve decision quality, and create more scalable business processes
• Work with engineering and business partners to define where AI-enabled workflows can safely automate tasks, assist users, or route exceptions for human review
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, operational observation, experimentation, and customer discovery to identify, test, validate, and prioritize product opportunities
• Translate customer, business, and operational problems into clear product outcomes, requirements, hypotheses, and measurable success criteria
• Manage initiatives from discovery through launch and adoption, including stakeholder alignment, prioritization, communication, change management, and measurement of results
• Define product requirements and partner closely with engineering counterparts through solution design, development, testing, launch, and iteration
• Establish and monitor product metrics that measure adoption, automation, operational efficiency, customer experience, quality, financial impact, and other relevant business outcomes
• Minimize wasted technology investment by validating assumptions before significant development begins and by continuously evaluating the effectiveness of existing capabilities
• Manage tradeoffs across customer value, business value, technical complexity, operational impact, risk, and speed to market
• Evaluate emerging opportunities and technologies while maintaining clear alignment to broader Global Forwarding and enterprise priorities
• Help determine when existing enterprise or Global Forwarding capabilities should be reused or extended rather than creating new or duplicative solutions
• Navigate complex dependencies across products, teams, systems, and business functions and drive alignment when ownership spans organizational boundaries
• Operate effectively in ambiguous environments where both the problem and solution may evolve during discovery
• Develop a strong understanding of Global Forwarding operations and use that knowledge to connect technology investments to measurable business outcomes
• Partner with business and technology leaders to build compelling business cases for strategic investments and clearly communicate expected value, tradeoffs, and risks
• Present product strategy, progress, recommendations, risks, and outcomes effectively to senior and executive leadership audiences
• Mentor Product Managers and other product practitioners, introduce product management best practices, and help strengthen product thinking across the organization
• Encourage experimentation, learning, and evidence-based decision-making while maintaining accountability for delivery and business results
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country-specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 6 years or more of product management, technology business analysis, or relevant industry/domain experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and high school diploma/GED
• Demonstrated experience defining product strategy, prioritizing complex portfolios, and translating business problems into technology solutions
• Experience leading products or initiatives that span multiple teams, systems, or business functions
• Experience partnering closely with software engineering teams throughout discovery, design, development, testing, launch, and optimization
• Demonstrated ability to use qualitative and quantitative information to make product decisions and measure outcomes
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience driving alignment across business, technology, operations, and leadership teams
• Ability to communicate product strategy, tradeoffs, business value, and complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and move from loosely defined problems to actionable product direction

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, transportation management systems, or other complex operational environments
• Experience with pricing, rating, carrier contracts, shipment planning, booking, tracking, visibility, or related supply chain capabilities
• Experience defining or delivering automation products that reduce manual operational effort or improve high-volume workflows
• Experience with generative AI, large language models, intelligent automation, agentic workflows, or AI-enabled decision-support products
• Experience evaluating where AI should automate work, augment users, or remain human-controlled based on business value, risk, and operational complexity
• Experience defining product requirements for AI-powered capabilities, including evaluation criteria, quality measurement, human-in-the-loop workflows, and operational guardrails
• Familiarity with emerging AI product patterns such as retrieval-augmented generation, tool/function calling, autonomous or semi-autonomous agents, and AI-assisted workflow orchestration
• Experience with digital marketplace dynamics, optimization, decision engines, or data-driven product capabilities
• Master’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics/Data Science, or related field
• Ability to conduct strategic quantitative and/or qualitative analysis used to inform technology and operational investments in a cross-functional enterprise environment
• Proven ability and willingness to quickly learn complex custom applications and business domains
• Demonstrated critical thinking, negotiation, facilitation, consulting, problem-solving, decision-making, strategic, and analytical skills
• Expert facilitator; adept at leading meetings with end users, customers, business partners, and technical teams to uncover problems, define outcomes, and manage competing priorities
• Experience developing business cases, ROI models, or operational efficiency analyses for technology investments
• Experience working in a product-led organization and applying lean product development, experimentation, or hypothesis-driven development practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence without authority and drive positive outcomes across a large, decentralized, matrixed organization
• A learning and growth mindset that is open to giving and receiving feedback and coaching others to do the same

Compensation Range

$113,000.00 - $254,200.00

The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
