APTA Licensed Physical Therapist - Part Time

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Physical Therapist providing expert evaluation and treatment for musculoskeletal, vascular, and neurological conditions tailored to each patient's needs. This role involves educating patients, their families, and healthcare associates, while serving as a vital link between patients, physicians, nursing staff, and social services.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality patient care using clinical expertise, including evaluation, treatment planning, patient and family education, safety procedures, and effective communication with all involved parties. Patients range from pediatric to geriatric.
2. Operate therapeutic equipment such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and wound care devices.
3. Guide patients in the use of assistive devices, braces, orthotics, prosthetics, and exercise equipment.
4. Assist patients with mobility, strengthening exercises, muscle reeducation, gait training, and activities of daily living.
5. Adapt therapy techniques for patients with cognitive or physical limitations.
6. Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with regulatory and departmental standards.
7. Engage in continuous quality improvement and peer review processes.
8. Foster excellent communication and customer service within and across departments.
9. Supervise aides, students, and volunteers.
10. Support departmental functions and contribute to staff education.

Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Continuing education relevant to clinical practice is encouraged.

Licensure and Certifications:
1. Must hold or be eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
2. CPR certification is mandatory.
