Job Description: The position of Account Executive reports to a Senior Account Executive or higher level employee. The primary responsibilities are to, in some cases, be a daily liaison between Magrino and client, to implement PR programs and tactics, be a media contact and handle many of the writing tasks for the account.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Overseeing efforts of the account support team (Intern, AC, SAE, etc.)
\n
• Developing leadership/mentoring skills
\n
• Understanding the focus and needs of the clients; anticipating client needs in advance
\n
• Identifying hot topics for the client and monitoring trends -- proactively initiating coverage of them
\n
• Scanning assigned publications daily, clipping pertinent articles and circulating to the team and client
\n
• Understanding clients’ products/positioning
\n
• Initiating, preparing for and attending client meetings
\n
• Writing a variety of materials including timelines, press releases, media alerts, photo captions, client memos, pitch letters, status reports, gossip items, etc.
\n
• Pitching the media without supervision
\n
• Supporting and coordinating press tour logistics
\n
• Understanding of the media landscape for each account and ways to navigate
\n
• Managing press event logistics, media lists, invites, follow up and RSVP confirmations
\n
• Screening media inquiries and arranging interviews
\n
• Calling on and tracking editorial calendars for your clients
\n
• Editing written materials for quality control, attention to detail, etc.
\n

Education and Experience Required:

\n

\n
• 1- 2 years minimum experience in public relations
\n
• BA/BS Degree
\n
• Requires strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
\n
