Job Overview A law firm seeks a skilled Workers' Compensation Attorney in Garden City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, including Estate Planning, Immigration Law, and Securities Law. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, effective negotiation abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services. Duties Take depositions of physicians and medical providers. Handle hearings and update the case management system. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients. Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw. Litigate cases in court, presenting evidence and arguments effectively. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Communicate with clients regarding case progress and legal options. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff for comprehensive legal support. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in litigation and negotiation is preferred. Excellent research skills with proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction. Skills Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
