We are seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for flooring projects. This role will be responsible for reviewing project requirements, preparing material and labor estimates, creating digital floor plans, conducting site visits, and supporting project coordination. Strong flooring industry knowledge and excellent customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate flooring project estimates, including labor, materials, quantities, and time requirements.

• Review proposals, blueprints, specifications, drawings, and other project documents to determine project scope.

• Conduct site visits to measure project areas and gather information required for accurate estimates.

• Use measuring equipment and computer-based tools to create accurate floor plans/diagrams and material lists.

• Read and interpret digital blueprints and project drawings.

• Analyze project requirements and identify material, labor, and installation needs.

• Prepare and complete estimates within required timelines.

• Coordinate with customers, sales teams, installers, vendors, and other project stakeholders as needed.

• Provide professional customer service throughout the estimating and project coordination process.

• Provide store coverage as needed, including responsibilities associated with sales and warehouse operations.

• Operate a forklift when required and follow all applicable safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate project and estimating documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of flooring industry experience - mandatory.

• 1-3 years of estimating experience, preferably in flooring or construction.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Forklift operating experience.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to read and interpret digital blueprints and project drawings.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rollmaster or similar flooring estimating software.

• 3+ years of outside sales experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
