Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required | Schedule may vary based on unit need

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a 35-bed Med Surg/Telemetry unit
• Manage a patient population including Med Surg, remote telemetry monitoring, orthopedic, post-op, CHF, and respiratory cases at a 1:6–7 patient ratio
• Direct and coordinate nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve desired patient outcomes
• Administer medications using bedside barcode scanning
• Float between Medical Surgical and Telemetry departments as needed
• Document patient care using Cerner EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Georgia
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
• Recent hands-on experience with Cerner EMR charting
• Minimum of 2 completed travel assignments required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with remote telemetry monitoring
• Background in orthopedic, post-operative, CHF, or respiratory patient populations
• Demonstrated ability to float between Med Surg and Telemetry departments
