Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Coaching & Player Personnel)

We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help bring our Coaching & Player Personnel (CPP) products together on a stronger shared technical foundation. I'm Andrew Rodgers, Senior Manager, Engineering at Teamworks.

This is a full-stack role. You'll own important architecture decisions, build reusable services across sports and products, and work closely with an experienced engineering team and partners in Product, Data, and Design.

The Role

• Own architecture and system design decisions for shared CPP services and product capabilities

• Lead complex projects from technical discovery through implementation and release

• Design and build reusable APIs, backend services, and front-end components/UI in Python and TypeScript.

• Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations across CPP products

• Improve automated testing and CI/CD practices so the team can ship changes confidently

• Review code, mentor engineers, and align teams around practical technical standards

What I'm Looking For

What You Must Bring

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial hands-on work with JavaScript and Python

• A track record of owning system design and architecture decisions, not only implementing designs created by others

• Strong engineering fundamentals across API design, UI/UX, data modeling, testing, and production reliability

• Experience leading complex technical projects through delivery and explaining tradeoffs to technical and cross-functional partners

• Substantial hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases

• Practical experience leveraging agentic AI workflows and tools as part of the software development process

• Ability to work in person or hybrid from the Indianapolis/Noblesville, IN area

Even Better If

• You have experience with ETL workflows, system integrations, or data-intensive applications

• You've worked with a major cloud platform and CI/CD tooling

• You have experience with sports or familiarity with Teamworks products

Why This Role

You'll help determine how a growing set of Teamworks products fits together, then take those decisions from design into production. Your work will give teams across multiple sports a shared platform they can build on rather than solving the same problems separately.
